Radiographic testing uses x-rays or gamma rays to examine the internal structure of manufactured components identifying any flaws or defects. Radiographic testing is a nondestructive testing (NDT) method. RT is divided into two levels, RT level I and RT level II. Level I and II are 40 hours long each, and each course is available for 120-days. Course extensions are available for free on request.
Atlas RT Level I Online Training Course
The Radiographic Testing (RT) Level I course will teach the student the theory and principles of radiation and how they apply to the basics of radiography. This course is the first step toward becoming a radiographic testing practitioner. This is also a great course for other personnel who want to understand the basics of Industrial Radiography.This 40-hour course exceeds the instruction outline and criteria specified in the ASNT Recommended Practice SNT-TC-1A, ANSI/ASNT CP-189, and ASNT Standard Topical Outlines for Qualification of Nondestructive Testing Personnel (ANSI/ASNT CP-105). The Radiographic Testing Level I course topics include introduction to radiographic testing, types of radiation, sources of radiation, radiation safety, radiographic testing principles, radiographic equipment, radiographic film, and film processing.
