COMMERCIAL PLUMBING INSPECTOR COURSE OVERVIEW

Through ICC Credentialing, the ICC Commercial Plumbing certification identifies individuals with a broad knowledge base of the practice, materials, and fixtures utilized in the installation, maintenance, extension, and alteration of all piping and plumbing appliances and plumbing appurtenances within the structure.

ICC Commercial Plumbing inspector verifies that the code shall be adhered to during the erection, installation, alteration, repairs, relocation, replacement, addition to, use, or maintenance of plumbing systems within this jurisdiction. Additionally, the code regulates nonflammable medical gas, inhalation anesthetic, vacuum piping, nonmedical oxygen systems, and sanitary and condensate vacuum collection systems.

This Plumbing Inspector Training Course comprises 14 lessons, 14 instant feedback quizzes, 3 quiz banks, and a final exam with a question bank of more than 260 questions. Upon completion of the course, the student will receive a certificate of completion from Atlas training ™.

Credentials are valid for three (3) years and must be renewed on or before the expiration date to remain current.

Accruing CEUs

During the three (3) year period prior to the renewal processing date, you must accrue the number of continuing education units (CEUs) required for your certificate. Renewal is achieved by participating in continuing education and professional development activities. For example, a seminar you attended to earn CEUs must have been within the three (3) years prior to the renewal processing date (when the CEU becomes inactive).

You may renew your credentials at different times, but each renewal date is treated as a separate application. For example, if you have six credentials and renew two certifications on X date and four certifications on Y date, you must have 3.0 CEUs for X date and a 3.0 additional CEUs for Y date.

Note: You must keep documents and records of each activity during the three (3) year renewal period. CEU applications are subject to random audits. If proof of CEUs cannot be provided, the renewal will be voided and your certifications will revert to their previous status.
