Certification meets NDT classroom training requirement
The Atlas 40-hour online Electromagnetic Testing inspection (ET) course will satisfy the classroom requirement in the multi-stage certification process. Our online ASNT Electromagnetic Testing classes meet the requirements for "Body of Knowledge" and "General Test" recommendations as outlined in SNT-TC-1A. A training certificate will be issued upon satisfactory completion of all training material and exams. NDT classroom training online by Atlas is a very convenient and economical way to achieve the required training hours. Be sure to take a look at the other NDT online classes that we have to offer. Electromagnetic Testing inspection is an NDT method that uses the principle of electromagnetism to conduct examinations. One anvantage of ET as an NDT tool is the variety of inspections and measurements that can be performed. Electromagnetic Testing used to inspect parts of complex shape and size. is sensitive to small surface corrosion on inner surfaces, pits, cracks, subsurface cracks, and other flaws. ET is used within the military, petrochemical, commercial, aircraft and aerospace industries and it gives immediate results. Electromagnetic Testing can also be used for material or coating thickness measurements, heat damage detection, and conductivity measurements for material and alloy identification.
Overview of the Electromagnetic Testing (ET) Level I Class.
The Electromagnetic Testing (ET) Level I course will teach the student the basic theory and principles of electromagnetic testing. These basics include frequency, velocity, and wavelength. This course is the first step toward becoming an electromagnetic testing practitioner. This is also a great course for other personnel who want to understand the basics of Industrial Electromagnetic Testing. This 40-hour course exceeds the instruction outline and criteria specified in the ASNT Recommended Practice SNT-TC-1A, ANSI/ASNT CP-189, and ASNT Standard Topical Outlines for Qualification of Nondestructive Testing Personnel (ANSI/ASNT CP-105). A training certificate will be issued upon satisfactory completion of all training material and exams.
