Welcome to the Atlas AWS CWI Online Training Course with part C API 1104. This online course is designed to provide you with the easiest way to learn the AWS CWI exam study material that you will need to know to pass the exam. Our online learning platform allows you to study from anywhere there is an internet connection. You can start and stop at will and repeat the material as often as you like.
The lessons are set up as PowerPoint presentations with a voice-over from the instructor. The lesson quizzes are loaded with AWS CWI questions and answers that will help prepare you for the exam while building your confidence. Some questions and answers are read and recorded on audio flashcards. These audio flashcards can be played while driving, working, or just relaxing. This is exclusive to Atlas and is not offered by other AWS CWI schools.
With this course, you can prepare for the Parts A, B, and C (API 1104) of the CWI exam on your own time. There is no need to miss work and spend a lot of money traveling for conventional classroom training. Below is a breakdown of the course curriculum that is covered.
Included in The Course:
60 hours of online prep
Over 1600 Practice questions
Timed practice exams
Practice quizzes with instant feedback
The Exam
The CWI exam requires 72% for a passing score on each of its three sections.
First is the Part A: Fundamentals section, which is a closed book test. It covers topics such as welding quality, nondestructive examination, metal joining and cutting processes, weld joint geometry, welding symbols, welding inspection, and metallurgy.
The Part B: Practical section tests your ability to use tools to evaluate weld replicas with representative discontinuities and defects. As well as employ welding qualification documents, and visually inspect welds.
Lastly, the Part C: Code Book section is an open book test. It assesses the applicants’ ability to locate and comprehend important paragraphs, charts, and tables.
Each Exam Part is two hours long.
Part A Fundamentals Exam contains 150 questions.
Part B Practical Exam includes 46 questions related to the hands-on activities.
Part C has 50 to 60 exam questions based on the code book.
......................................................................
Atlas sells a five (5) piece weld replica set and a 10-piece inspection toolkit to supplement the training materials. The replica set and toolkit provide extra hands-on training for the Part B exam and there are questions that apply to the replicas.
Benefits
Our online courses are designed to provide you with the easiest way to learn the AWS CWI exam material that you will need to know in order to pass the exam. Our online learning platform allows you to study from anywhere there is an internet connection. You can start and stop at will and repeat the material as often as you like.
The AWS CWI exam pass rate can be as low as 25 percent for the first attempt – you don’t want to be in that group. Proper preparation for this exam is crucial and requires a great deal of dedication and time on your part. As noted above, there is a lot of material available to study in preparation for the exam.
Please Note the Following:
Our goal at Atlas is to provide you the necessary tools to pass the AWS CWI certification exam the very first time you try. Many of our students have considered themselves more hands-on when it comes to training courses. After taking our online training courses, these students have discovered that not only is online training a more economical way to prepare for a certification exam, but that online training is just a better way to learn the material. With the online training course, the student can start and stop whenever he/she may want. Students may also progress at their own pace, repeat material when needed, and use the interactive quizzes to train. This is by far the easiest way to study. The Atlas 48 hour money back guarantee means that you can check out the course with zero risks. If you are not happy with your purchase, we will gladly refund your money with no questions asked.

RECERTIFICATION
A Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) needs to complete 80 Professional Development Hours (PDHs) of courses, seminars, or online courses to maintain their certification. These courses must meet the requirements of AWS Specification for the Certification of Welding Inspectors (AWS QC1:2016-AMD1) and cover subjects defined in the Education and Experience Requirements of AWS Specification for the Qualification of Welding Inspectors (AWS B5.1:2013-AMD1).
Add One Endorsement:
A CWI can pursue adding an endorsement to their certification. Successful completion (passing exam score) will meet the requirements for CWI recertification. A CWI can pursue the endorsement option up to (11) months prior to the current CWI certification expiration date. A CWI must choose one of the endorsements from the list below. Endorsements require passing an exam. The following courses are eligible for endorsement:
.......................................
........................................
......................................
.......................................
Important Note: AWS QC1:2016-AMD1 defines endorsement as an added skill in one's certification credentials. Pursuing an endorsement during 9-year recertification requires a different code book than the one used for current active CWI certification.
ENDORSEMENTS OR CERTIFICATIONS ACHIEVED PRIOR TO 9-YEAR RECERTIFICATION:
Endorsements: A CWI who has previously taken and passed one or more endorsement exams prior to the 9-year cycle may apply for recertification without having to meet further examination, professional development hour, or seminar requirements.
9-Year Recertification Course: As an alternative to the previous permitted options, a CWI can register and successfully complete the AWS 9-Year Recertification Course. The successful completion of the course meets the requirements for CWI recertification.
